Plasma Center Nurse - LPN

Job Description The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supports plasma center operations under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician. Responsibilities include determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, notifying donors of unsuitable results, and providing center-level support to Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) and Medical Affairs. Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent management, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, assisting the Center Physician’s standing orders and arranging transport to emergency care. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings, medical or technical guidance, and donor safety and eligibility concerns. Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents, determining further evaluation by occupational health/ER, and consult EHS guidance. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, investigating local pandemic threats with Medical Affairs. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program with state requirements. Licensed or certified LPN or LVN in the state of assignment. Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy. Completion of FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Compensation and Benefits Summary Location: USA – NC – Greensboro U.S. Hourly Wage Range: $24.32 – $33.44 The actual hourly wage will be based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location, and will comply with applicable minimum wage laws.
