Registered Nurse Clinical Support Team (Float Pool) Nights/Days

Employment Information Employment Type: Full time Shift: 12 Hour Night Shift Description We are looking to hire a Full‑Time Registered Nurse for our Clinical Support Team (Float Pool) at our Level II Trauma Center in Boise. This position will be located at our Regional Medical Center off I-184 and Curtis Rd. Hours: 7:00 pm – 7:30 am (self‑scheduling). Compensation and Benefits Eligible for sign‑on bonus, relocation assistance, housing stipend (location dependent), competitive wages, on‑call pay, and shift differentials. About the Department RNs in the Clinical Support Team (Float Pool) care for patients in medical/surgical, ortho, neuro, post‑partum, and telemetry. The role offers exposure to various acuity levels and opportunities for advanced training and career growth. You will not float to other Saint Alphonsus sites or to Boise Critical Care or Emergency Departments. Position Overview As an RN at Saint Alphonsus Health System, you provide hands‑on patient care, collaborate with colleagues, maintain accurate documentation, and utilize resources effectively. You serve as a patient advocate, promote their physical, spiritual, and emotional well‑being, educate patients, administer medications and treatments, and develop care plans based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups. Ensures accurate documentation of services and supplies. Complies with hospital safety policies and procedures. Performs comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments. Educates patients based on assessment of needs and implements care plans. Communicates patient status and plan of care to other caregivers. Prepares, administers, and evaluates effectiveness of medications. Uses patient care equipment safely. Establishes therapeutic and professional boundaries. Integrates knowledge, experience, professional standards, and hospital policies into practice. Meets unit‑specific technical skills. Adheres to rules and regulations of the Idaho State Board of Nursing. Ideal Candidate Embraces daily change, team player, appreciates independence without a home unit, self‑driven learner. General Requirements Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Idaho. American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider (BLS/HCP) certification at hire date.
