Health Promotion Coordinator

Position Summary Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Health Promotion Coordinator in its Office of Owls Care Health Promotion in Boca Raton, FL. The coordinator will plan, implement, and evaluate evidence‑based, peer‑led health promotion programs and services for the student community. Responsibilities Design new, innovative peer‑led health promotion programs using qualitative and quantitative assessment tools. Develop and execute targeted health communication strategies to increase awareness and engagement on key health topics. Create and facilitate engaging workshops, presentations, and seminars for students on health and student development topics. Conduct ongoing program evaluations to assess impact and effectiveness, using data to refine programming. Collaborate closely with campus partners, student organizations, faculty, staff, and community professionals for training, events, and outreach. Stay current on public health and peer education trends, research, and best practices. Provide health and wellness information and resources to the university community through social media, newsletters, posters, and other media. Manage the Owls Care Leader program: develop strategic plans, goals, and measurable objectives; recruit, train, supervise, perform performance reviews and retention activities; ensure alignment with institutional priorities and NACE competencies. Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date information on the Owls Care Health Promotion website. Administer the NASPA Peer Education Survey and share results with stakeholders. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or bachelor’s degree with at least two years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of health promotion theory, peer education best practices, and student development principles. Excellent communication, facilitation, and project management skills. Experience designing or evaluating health promotion programs preferred. Salary $46,000 – $50,000 annually. Benefits Medical (PPO/HMO), dental, vision, and life insurance.
