Job Title: Project ManagerDepartment: Project ManagementFLSA Status: ExemptReports to: Vice President of OperationsSalary: Commensurate with experience + BenefitsJOB SUMMARY:Responsible for the coordination, planning, scheduling and execution and completion of all assigned mechanical systems/service projects. Coordination of manpower, material, equipment and subcontractors, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. Assures compliance with safety and quality policies. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Primary duty includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.Develops cost-effective plans and schedules for completion of projects following a logical pattern for utilization of resources.Collaborates with Operations department for guidance and support, including technical direction.Strengthens customer relationships.Documents technical requirements, develops and implements project plans and facilitates efficient implementation of work scope.Manages multiple projects while meeting or exceeding stated deadlines and bid estimates.Pre-plan and coordinate material and completion of required inspections.Manage and coordinate field manpower with Project Superintendent to meet project requirements.Ability to prepare estimates, produce change orders and proposals for customers.Visit job sites to monitor progress and resolve field problems as well as track manpower on a daily/weekly basis.Mentor Assistant Project Managers and field employees and foster a learning and growth environment.Communicates on a regular basis with the customer in order to building a trusting relationship.Protects the company by identifying and avoiding risk.Documents job progress, changes, delays submittal’s, RFI’s etc.Responsible for controlling the financial position of the project including billings, change orders and managing material and sub-contractors. Promote project teamwork and communication amongst employees.Client focused with keeping company goals in mind.Thorough knowledge of where your project stands at any point in time and the ability to explain the status.Always follow the procedures of the position. Contract knowledge and the ability to review.For consideration, candidates must be able to successfully complete the Human Resources onboarding process and pass the Safety Orientation training without the assistance of an interpreter. This includes fully understanding the content delivered by the instructor and passing the associated exams independently. Employee must also be able to receive and understand instructions provided by their supervisor and communicate directly with them without the need for interpretation services.For safety, operational efficiency, and compliance reasons, the ability to understand, communicate, and follow workplace instructions in English is required. QUALIFICATIONS:Excellent written and verbal communication skills.A1A document knowledge and SOV building capability.Understanding financial and labor reports (Timberline).Excel/ Word and Bluebeam (a plus).Ability to read estimation work sheets and create budgets accordingly. Estimating ability.Creation and compilation of COR`s.Project experience minimum 1 million +.
