Litigation Paralegal - Personal Injury

Position Overview We are seeking a Spanish-speaking Litigation Paralegal with strong litigation support experience who thrives in a fast-paced, trial-driven environment. This role involves deep engagement with complex litigation matters, including discovery, trial prep, and close collaboration with attorneys. You’ll have the opportunity to work on high-impact personal injury and consumer class action cases and play a key role in preparing for depositions, mediations, and trials. This is a full-time position based onsite in our Westwood office. It is not remote or hybrid. Key Responsibilities Litigation Support Manage all aspects of litigation support from case investigation through trial. Draft, proofread, and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, correspondence, and other legal documents. Organize and manage case files, medical records, discovery, exhibits, and trial materials. Conduct legal research and factual investigations to support litigation strategy. Ensure all filings comply with California court rules, procedures, and deadlines. Discovery & Case Management Coordinate all phases of the discovery process, including document production, responses, and organization of evidence. Maintain accurate litigation calendars and monitor court deadlines, hearings, and filing requirements. Coordinate expert witness retention, scheduling, document collection, and case materials. Manage deposition scheduling, court reporters, interpreters, and related litigation logistics. Maintain accurate case notes and documentation within the firm's case management system. Trial Preparation Prepare trial notebooks, exhibit binders, witness files, demonstrative evidence, and courtroom materials. Support attorneys during depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials. Assist with witness preparation, exhibit management, and trial logistics. Help prepare class certification filings, settlement materials, and other complex litigation documents. Ensure attorneys have all necessary materials to effectively prepare for trial. Collaborate closely with attorneys, experts, vendors, and clients to ensure cases remain organized and trial-ready. Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and third-party vendors. Assist with obtaining records, coordinating document requests, and managing litigation-related correspondence. Contribute to litigation strategy discussions by maintaining organized case files and identifying outstanding case needs. Qualifications & Experience Spanish-speaking is required. Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program. Minimum of three (3) years of civil litigation experience in a trial-focused law firm. Experience supporting trial attorneys through all phases of litigation. Strong knowledge of California Rules of Court, Code of Civil Procedure, and state and federal electronic filing systems. Experience drafting pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, trial exhibits, and other litigation documents. Exceptional organizational, research, writing, and proofreading skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, legal case management software, document management systems, and e-discovery platforms. Ability to prioritize multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience in plaintiff-side personal injury litigation. Experience supporting consumer class action litigation. Big Law or highly respected litigation boutique experience. Trial preparation experience through verdict. Familiarity with Trial Director, Relativity, Adobe Acrobat, and other litigation support technologies. Experience coordinating expert witnesses and managing complex litigation matters. Trial preparation and courtroom readiness. Discovery management. Legal drafting and document preparation.
