Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and proactive individuals to join our offline department as General Production Workers. This role involves supporting the production lines by prepping and making steel reels, feeding the lines, and handling scrap materials for disposal or recycling. While forklift operation is not required, it is preferred. The position is active and requires the use of hand and power tools for reel building, grinding, and manually cutting scraps.

Responsibilities

• Start training in reel building using hand and power tools.
• Prepare and assemble steel reels for the production lines.
• Operate in the grinding area, loading scrap reels onto grinders.
• Manually cut scraps for recycling or disposal.
• Regrind chunks to process them through various machines, including extruder machines.
• Set up machine operations by changing screens, filters, and adjusting temperatures.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 1 year experience in Industrial Manufacturing, not including warehouse.
• Experience with extrusion machines, grinders, measuring tape, impact guns, and saws.
• Active and physically capable of being on feet all day.
• Ability to cross-train in various tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Machine Operator experience is preferred.
• Construction or automotive experience is advantageous.
• Mechanically inclined with skills in material handling, pallet jack operation, and general labor.

Work Environment

Work in a clean, manufacturing facility with non-climate controlled areas. The environment is team-oriented and proactive, requiring individuals to stay busy and on their feet throughout their shift. The schedule operates on a 2-2-3 rotation, with shifts from 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am, alternating between 48-hour and 36-hour weeks.

This is a Contract position based out of Salt Lake City, UT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
