CNC Milling Machinist
We are working with a client company in the Chicago Metro Region seeking a CNC Milling Machinist (multiple shifts). This position will offer regular overtime with a growing company that has been in business for over 100 years! Prior experience working as a CNC Milling Machinist is required.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual or CNC milling machines
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T
- Load raw materials and secure fixtures or tooling
- Select and install cutting tools, inserts, and offsets
- Program or edit CNC machine programs (often G-code)
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments for precision
- Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM equipment
- Maintain tight tolerances and surface finishes
- Perform troubleshooting and basic machine maintenance
- Ensure quality standards and production goals are met
