Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description

This role supports daily production operations in a food manufacturing environment by monitoring product quality throughout the production process and helping ensure all products meet company standards before shipment. You work closely with production teams to inspect materials, perform quality checks, identify defects, and maintain compliance with food safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and standard operating procedures.

• Monitor production lines and inspect products at various stages of the manufacturing process.
• Conduct quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet established standards.
• Identify, document, and report quality issues, defects, or non-conformances to production leadership in a timely manner.
• Place non-conforming products on hold and assist with evaluations and disposition decisions.
• Support production teams in maintaining quality, safety, and GMP standards throughout the facility.
• Perform routine testing, data collection, and recordkeeping related to production and quality activities.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately and legibly in accordance with company procedures.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and special projects aimed at enhancing product quality and operational efficiency.
• Follow all company safety policies, GMPs, and standard operating procedures at all times.
• Work collaboratively with other production and quality team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

• Experience in general production or manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience with packaging, packing, and general labor tasks.
• Ability to perform product inspection and basic quality checks.
• Familiarity with food manufacturing processes and food safety practices.
• Basic machine operating skills in a production setting.
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and ability to follow them consistently.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Strong attention to detail for identifying defects and non-conforming products.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation related to production and quality.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety policies.

• Prior experience in a food manufacturing facility is a plus.
• Experience supporting continuous improvement or process enhancement initiatives.
• Comfort working as part of a production team in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic data collection and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with production and quality leadership regarding issues and findings.

This role operates in a food manufacturing facility with active production lines, packaging areas, and inspection stations. You spend most of your time on the production floor monitoring equipment, handling materials, and performing quality checks. The environment follows strict safety policies, GMPs, and standard operating procedures, with an emphasis on cleanliness, organization, and compliance with food safety standards. Work may involve standing for extended periods, working near machinery, and collaborating with production teams across different shifts, depending on operational needs. Appropriate work attire and protective gear are used in accordance with facility guidelines.

This is a Contract position based out of Aumsville, OR.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
