Valet & Garage Attendant

Job Overview Under general supervision, this position provides valet and facility support services to patients and visitors of Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) to ensure exceptional service in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. Responsibilities include the intake, parking, and retrieval of vehicles in a safe and organized manner, as well as performing various garage and facility support functions such as customer service, cashiering, preparing bank deposits, handling cash, operating and maintaining revenue control equipment, completing reports, and opening and closing booths. Responsibilities Acknowledge, greet, and welcome patients/visitors Assist patients/visitors with valet needs Comply with traffic regulations to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner Clarify parking rates and valet procedures to patients and visitors Daily collection and categorization of processed parking ticket transactions Maintain safe and clean work environment by following standards and procedures Report any accidents to manager on duty Support daily operations of the parking facility Perform cashiering function as needed Stock and maintain all revenue control equipment Prepare daily sales reports Assist customers in the use of automated revenue control equipment including ticket dispensers, pay stations, and exit station equipment Requirements Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent. Experience: One year working experience, one year of driving experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Professional character with all patients, visitors, and staff. Basic math and understanding of rates applicable to services. Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment and to react with discretion under varying conditions. Ability to operate equipment such as cash registers, revenue control equipment. Knowledge of record‑keeping procedures and practices. Knowledge of personnel policies and procedures. Written and communication skills, both in writing and verbally. Excellent customer service skills. Basic understanding of a computer. Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver’s license (must be maintained throughout employment), CPR certification within 90 days of employment (must be maintained throughout employment). Physical Requirements Prolonged periods standing, sitting, and walking. Occasionally lift or carry up to 25 pounds. Working Conditions Must be able to perform job duties in both indoor and outdoor environments, and under varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, and snow. Pay Pay Range: $17.13 – $21.69. Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, and alignment with our organizational needs.
