About the Role:

The Packaging Associate plays a critical role in ensuring that products are securely and efficiently packaged for shipment, maintaining the integrity and quality of items throughout the distribution process. This position involves preparing materials, assembling packaging, and verifying that all products meet company standards before dispatch. The Packaging Associate collaborates closely with other members of the Shipping Department to meet daily production targets and deadlines. Attention to detail is paramount to prevent damage and ensure customer satisfaction. Ultimately, this role supports the overall supply chain by facilitating smooth and accurate order fulfillment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Basic understanding of packaging materials and safety procedures.
• Capability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift moderate weight (up to 50 lbs) safely.
• Reliable with strong attendance and ability to work full shifts consistently.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assemble packaging materials according to product specifications and company guidelines.
• Inspect products for defects or damages prior to packaging to ensure quality standards are met.
• Label and seal packages both promptly and accurately, ensuring all necessary items and labels are included.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to comply with safety and hygiene standards.
• Report any packaging issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly for resolution.

The Packaging Associate utilizes attention to detail daily to ensure products are packaged correctly and meet quality standards, preventing damage during transit. Physical stamina and manual dexterity are essential for handling packaging materials efficiently throughout the work shift.
