This facility is seeking a Gastroenterology Physician] for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity: 

Schedule: As soon as possible - Ongoing, 6–12 months or longer; Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; shared 24-hour call in rotating 7-day blocks, approximately 1 week out of every 3

Practice Setting: Primarily inpatient with endoscopy suite coverage

Types of Cases: General Gastroenterology; 14–18 procedures per day. Colonoscopy, esophagogastroduodenoscopy, and inpatient Gastroenterology consultations. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography and endoscopic ultrasound are preferred but not required. Adult and geriatric patients.

Credentialing Timeframe: 60–90 days; temporary privileges available with clean background and drug screening for expedited start

Electronic Medical Record: Epic

Certifications Required: Board Certified in Gastroenterology; Basic Life Support

Licensure Required: Maine medical license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact eligibility preferred; willing to license
