Production Team Leader

AppleTree Staffing is seeking a Production Team Leader to oversee daily operations within a machining and assembly environment. This role is responsible for leading a team, meeting production goals, and ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are consistently achieved.

This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and enjoys developing team members while driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support team members to meet daily production targets
Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety standards
Perform and verify quality checks using gauges, calipers, and micrometers
Set up and adjust CNC machines, including tool changes and offsets
Troubleshoot equipment and resolve production issues quickly
Monitor production metrics and maintain accurate records
Coordinate with quality and leadership teams on production and quality concerns
Perform basic preventative maintenance to reduce downtime
Step into any process within the department as needed to support operations
Support continuous improvement efforts (5S, Kaizen, Lean practices)

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required
Previous manufacturing experience required; leadership experience preferred
Experience with CNC machines strongly preferred
Ability to read blueprints and use quality measurement tools
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Comfortable using computers and production systems
Experience with hand, pneumatic, and power tools

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand and work on your feet for an entire shift
