Phlebotomist

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Work schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other analyses. Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience. Preferred Qualifications At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience in an outpatient lab setting. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency is required in lieu of work experience. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Able to pass a standardized color-blindness test. Employees scheduled for fewer than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are eligible only for the 401(k) plan. Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all benefits except paid time off or flexible time off. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
