Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications:

• Valid state certification in Special Education
• Experience with individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting curriculum
• Strong understanding of various learning disabilities and behavioral strategies
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to create a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere
• Previous experience in school settings is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver lessons specific to students’ IEP goals, accommodating diverse learning needs
• Monitor student progress, maintain detailed documentation, and update IEPs as necessary
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to encourage student engagement and achievement
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student goals, progress, and strategies for success both in and out of school
• Foster independence, social skills, and self-advocacy among students
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities
