About the Role We’re seeking a dependable, hands-on CDL Driver – Smash Operator to join our team in Brighton, MI. In this role, you’ll operate a Kenworth T270 Smash Truck equipped with proprietary Smash My Trash compaction technology. You’ll visit customer sites to safely and efficiently compact waste—helping businesses reduce volume, lower costs, and improve sustainability. This position is ideal for a skilled CDL driver who values consistent routes, independence, early shifts, and being home daily, while delivering safe, high-quality service. Key Responsibilities Operate the Smash My Trash truck to compact waste at customer locations Drive safely and efficiently along assigned daily routes Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs Report maintenance needs or mechanical issues promptly Deliver exceptional customer service and represent the company professionally Promote and uphold a safety-first culture at all times Qualifications ⚠️ Do not apply if you do not meet the following requirements: Valid Class A or B CDL with 3+ years of commercial driving experience Clean driving record with no accidents or violations in the past 5 years Clean MVR and stable work history Familiarity with DOT/FMCSA compliance and inspection procedures Strong communication and customer service skills Comfortable using smartphones and technology for route management Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test Job Details Schedule: Monday–Friday (Home Daily) Location: Brighton, MI — covering Oakland/Livingston County and surrounding areas Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) Cell phone stipend 401(k) Health insurance Safety Bonus Program – Earn up to $1,250 annually Be part of a team that treats people like family Company Description Smash My Trash is an innovative mobile trash compacting company helping businesses optimize waste management by reducing dumpster overflow, cutting hauling costs, and minimizing environmental impact.
