Senior Ultrasound Technologist

Job Description Performs a variety of sonographic examinations dealing with OB/GYN, abdominal and small parts. Additionally assists the radiologist during invasive procedures and performs abdominal Doppler studies of the liver and liver transplants, as well as Nuchal Translucency studies and neonatal cranial exams. One additional certification (Breast, Vascular, Neurosonography, MSK, Pediatrics, Fetal Echo, Nuchal translucency or the Neonatal specialty) is required for sonographer 2 status. Makes a clinical judgment of the patient's condition, based on information obtained from the referring physician, medical records, patient interview and personal assessments. Responsibilities Perform OB/GYN, abdominal, and small parts sonographic examinations. Assist radiologist during invasive procedures. Execute abdominal Doppler studies of the liver and liver transplants. Conduct Nuchal Translucency studies and neonatal cranial examinations. Make clinical judgment of patient condition using obtained data. Qualifications Successful completion of an ultrasound training program; education sufficient to meet eligibility requirements to take American Registry of Diagnostic Ultrasonographers (ARDMS) registry examination. Upon hire: National Registered Technologist – Sonography or National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association. 2 years of experience as a sonographer. Benefits Pay range: $56.58 - $86.82 per hour; additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
