RN - Inpatient Surgical Floor (PT - 0.6 FTE, Day Shift)

Part-Time Registered Nurse

Part-time, 0.6 FTE day shift RN position with weekend and holiday requirements. Minimum hour requirements: 2 shifts per week, after a full time (36hrs/week) training period of approximately 8-10 weeks. Responsible for the completion of annual required education. Must also be available all day, Mon-Fri, during a one-week pre-training period for hospital onboarding.

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse works in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the health care team, plans and implements patient and family education and is responsible for assessing the needs and initiating appropriate intervention for patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required:

• Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse)
• American Heart Association BLS
• Competence in and a willingness and ability to practice modified primary nursing

• Complies with hospital policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines related to care for patients with hyper acute and acute stroke
• Participates in two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education within one year of hire
• Participates in one hour annually of cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education

Schedule Requirements:

• This role requires regular and sustained attendance.
• The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.

Infectious diseases are caused by contact with patients in areas that may have contagious illnesses. Emotionally challenging situations, such as dealing with distressed patients or difficult family interactions.
