Registered Nurse - LTAC/Telemetry

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to provide optimal patient care.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient management.
• Plan and implement safe and effective delivery of care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education.
• Delegate patient care tasks based on staff qualifications and experience.
• Provide supervision and direction to nursing staff and other assigned personnel.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a valid California RN license.
• Current ACLS & BLS certifications through the American Heart Association are required.
• Relevant clinical and travel nursing experience preferred.

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with a shift from 07:00 to 19:30.
