Part Time Facility Attendant

The City of Pearland, TX is seeking to hire a Part‑Time Facility Attendant to lead and improve aspects of the day‑to‑day operations of our Parks and Recreation department. This dynamic and caring leader will be results‑oriented and excel in a fast‑paced environment. Compensation: $13.65 - $14.78 per hour based on qualifications. Additional benefits include access to the city’s recreation fitness center and employee assistance program. Availability: Weekends may be required. Essential Functions Supervise the conduct and behavior of all members and guests to ensure their safety, health, and wellness. Read the Facility Attendant binder, specifically the communication log, to know all current information about the facility prior to the shift. Prepare the facility for opening, all classes, reservations, activities, programs, and events; close the facility at the end of the night. Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with the Parks & Recreation core values. Open and close the facility. Inspect the facility every half hour for safety concerns, maintenance issues, and cleanliness. Document all necessary situations with factual information and report to the proper full‑time staff. Perform some custodial duties. Restock supplies and inventory. Additional Duties Act as the employee fill‑in when RCN part‑time employees do not show up for scheduled shifts and contract additional staff to cover as needed. Assist in Kids Korner or at Kiosk to provide support and assistance during busy times in each area. Adhere to department‑established behavior policy. Requirements Minimum Education and Experience Requirements High school graduation or GED equivalent. One (1) year closely related experience.
