Assistant Project Manager, Construction

Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager in coordinating commercial building projects from planning through completion. This role works closely subcontractors and internal teams, with daily jobsite presence and travel across multiple projects. The position offers a clear advancement path to Project Manager.

Responsibilities

Coordinate construction project activities and support the Project Manager.
Track project schedules and communicate progress updates.
Coordinate subcontractor activities across commercial building projects.
Monitor budgets and support cost control efforts.
Manage change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
Maintain project documentation and records.
Conduct site inspections and monitor field progress.
Prepare and deliver project progress reports.

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of experience in construction project management.
Experience with cost estimating.
Proficiency with Procore.
Blueprint-reading experience.
Experience with RFI and submittal management.
Knowledge of construction documentation.
