We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Physical Health Therapist to join our innovative team at Health Coast Behavioral Center in Fremont, California. Work Environment

The Physical Health Therapist will work in a supportive and collaborative atmosphere within our rehabilitation facility. Our facility is designed to promote healing and recovery, equipped with modern therapeutic tools and equipment. As a therapist, you will have access to a multidisciplinary team that includes mental health counselors, psychiatrists, and other specialists who work together to ensure comprehensive care. The work hours will generally be Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical assessments of patients to determine their needs and develop tailored treatment plans that may include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and education on injury prevention and recovery strategies.
• Implement evidence-based physical therapy interventions designed to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and enhance quality of life for patients recovering from injuries or managing chronic conditions.
• Collaborate closely with mental health professionals to create integrated treatment plans that address both physical and psychological aspects of patient care.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical standards.
• Participate in team meetings and case consultations, sharing insights from physical therapy that may inform overall patient care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and their families about recovery processes, pain management techniques, and ways to maintain physical health post-treatment.
• Monitor and assess patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with the latest advancements in physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our center serves a diverse population, including adults suffering from conditions such as sports injuries, orthopedic issues, neurological disorders, and chronic pain. Many patients also present with co-occurring mental health challenges, such as anxiety and depression, which makes your role pivotal in facilitating their overall rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of California.
• Strong understanding of human anatomy, physical therapy practices, and the latest therapeutic techniques.
• Proven experience in conducting physical assessments and formulating treatment plans.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with team members.
• Commitment to ethical standards and best practices in physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting, especially one that integrates mental and physical health services.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) platforms for documentation and tracking patient progress.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams to enhance holistic care approaches.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes:
