Production superintendent

job summary:
Global company with locations nationwide is targeting a Production Superintendent for their facility in northwest Tennessee.

This position is responsible for bridging the gap between senior plant strategy and the daily execution on the factory floor. The ideal candidate will have a technical background (engineering, lean manufacturing) and experience with line leadership.

responsibilities:

• Enforces a proactive safety culture, ensures full regulatory compliance (OSHA), and leads root-cause investigations for any safety incidents.

• Maintains a floor presence through daily operating routines, walks, and meetings to stabilize production lines.

• Manages, coaches, and mentors shift supervisors and area coordinators to ensure consistent crew performance and eliminate operational variability across shifts.

• Owns the department's daily and short-term targets for production throughput, scrap generation, labor utilization, and cost control.

• Deploys and sustains standardized work methods, training systems, and practical problem-solving processes to drive operational efficiency.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Maintenance and Engineering to eliminate repeat failures and reduce unplanned downtime.
