Shipping Coordinator (Shipping & Receiving Supervisor)

Location: Greensboro, NC Onsite

The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily inbound and outbound warehouse operations, ensuring the accurate, timely, and efficient movement of materials, equipment, and finished goods. This role leads shipping and receiving personnel, manages inventory accuracy, and ensures compliance with company standards while supporting project timelines and customer delivery expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Management
• Supervise, coach, and support shipping and receiving team members
• Assign daily tasks and monitor workflow for productivity and accuracy
• Provide performance feedback, training, and development
• Support hiring and onboarding activities
• Maintain accountability for attendance and adherence to company policies
• Promote a safe, organized, and team-oriented work environment

• Shipping Operations
• Oversee order fulfillment, packing, and shipment preparation
• Ensure all outbound shipments are accurate and properly documented
• Coordinate shipment priorities with Project Managers and internal teams
• Manage carrier relationships (UPS, FedEx, freight providers)
• Schedule pickups and monitor shipping performance
• Resolve delays, discrepancies, and delivery issues

• Receiving Operations
• Oversee inbound shipments, including unloading and inspection
• Verify materials against purchase orders
• Ensure accurate system entry and labeling of inventory
• Identify and escalate discrepancies, damages, or shortages
• Coordinate with procurement and stakeholders to resolve issues

• Inventory & Warehouse Management
• Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and reconciliation
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and organization of materials
• Support audits and reporting requirements
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure material availability

• Process Improvement & Compliance
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow and efficiency
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment (5S preferred)

• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with Integration, Operations, and Procurement teams
• Communicate shipment updates, delays, and priorities
• Assist with escalations and high-volume operational needs

Qualifications Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or warehouse operations
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with inventory systems and shipping platforms
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Preferred

• Associate degree or training in logistics, supply chain, or related field
• Experience in technology, manufacturing, or integration environments
• Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Experience with cycle counting, inventory control, and audits
• Knowledge of safety standards and warehouse best practices

Work Environment: Office and warehouse setting

Standard working hours: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Occasional extended hours may be required based on operational needs

• Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and lifting
