Job Summary

Th e Laboratory Technician is responsible for providing safe, efficient, and reliable laboratory and technical support to customers. This position performs quality assurance testing on company products, prepares laboratory reports prior to wellsite service delivery, and provides technical support related to additive selection and fluid design.

Job Description

• Perform quality assurance tests on company products and materials.
• Prepare accurate laboratory reports prior to service delivery at the wellsite.
• Ensure all job deliverables are accurate and completed on time.
  
• Provide technical support for additive selection and fluid design.
  
• Develop the technical competency required to perform advanced additive selection and fluid-design activities.
  
• Maintain laboratory equipment in clean, safe, and proper working condition.
  
• Ensure laboratory waste is regularly and properly disposed of in accordance with applicable procedures.
  
• Prepare technical presentations for internal and external customers.
  
• Perform regular laboratory audits to ensure the facility operates according to required standards.
  
• Assist Design/Technical Engineers and Product Champions with technical support as needed.
  
• Maintain communication with Client Support Labs, operating locations, product centers, and internal technical resources.
  
• Perform risk analyses before each task or job to identify and mitigate potential safety and quality concerns.
  
• Participate in Service Quality Meetings with customers and support performance improvement through action plans.
  
• Participate in HSE and Quality initiatives.
  
• Wear required PPE and comply with all HSE policies, procedures, and safety practices.
  
• Maintain all required safety training.
  
• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, laboratory processes, quality, and efficiency.
  
• Perform other laboratory and technical duties as assigned.

S kills Required

• Willingness and ability to work 12-hour shifts, including both day and night rotations.
• Previous experience working in a chemical laboratory environment preferred.
  
• Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  
• Ability to follow laboratory procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  
• Ability and willingness to learn new technical processes and develop advanced laboratory competencies.
  
• Ability to use laboratory equipment safely and effectively.
  
• Strong commitment to HSE and workplace safety.
  
• Ability to identify potential safety, quality, and operational concerns and take appropriate action.
  
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Education

• Minimum: Associate degree or High School Diploma/GED.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a technical, science, chemistry, or related field.
  
• Prior experience in a chemical laboratory environment is strongly preferred.
  
• NEST training required; training location is Kellyville, Oklahoma.

Pay Rate

• $21 - $28.75 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
