Registered Nurse (RN) – Critical Care ICU

Specialty: Critical Care / Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Location: Syracuse, New York (NY)
Duration: 13 Weeks

We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive care to critically ill adult patients in a high-acuity Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have strong assessment skills, experience managing complex patient conditions, and the ability to function independently in a fast-paced critical care environment.

• Night Shift
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage as needed

• Active New York State RN License/Registration
• BLS Certification

• Minimum 1.5 years of recent ICU/Critical Care experience within the last 2 years
• Experience in hospitals of similar size, larger facilities, or trauma centers required
• Ability to work independently with minimal orientation

• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience preferred

• Critical Care Nursing
• Hemodynamic Monitoring
• Ventilator Management
• Cardiac Monitoring and Rhythm Interpretation
• IV Therapy and Medication Administration
• Emergency Response and Stabilization
• Patient Assessment and Monitoring
• Critical Care Documentation
• Interdisciplinary Care Coordination
• Patient and Family Education

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill adult patients
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop nursing care plans
• Monitor and interpret patient data, responding appropriately to changes in condition
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Ensure adherence to patient safety and quality care standards
