Two contract positions are available for dedicated Special Education Teachers in Charlottesville, VA. You’ll make a real difference by nurturing growth and empowering students in either an elementary Autism support classroom (1st-3rd grade) or as a 7th-grade ELA co-teacher.

What we’re looking for:

• Active Virginia Special Education General Curriculum K-12 license
• Experience teaching in special education settings, either elementary or middle school
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated instruction
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Compassion, adaptability, and excellent communication skills

Role Highlights:

• Deliver engaging lessons tailored to each student’s unique learning needs
• Collaborate on classroom activities and co-plan curriculum with general education teachers
• Monitor, document, and report on student progress toward IEP goals
