Audiologist – Veteran Disability Assessments

We are looking for a committed Audiologist to join our organization, focusing on conducting medical evaluations for U.S. Veterans as part of the disability benefits process with the VA. In this position, you will assess the Veteran's medical history, which will be securely uploaded into a digital portal, prior to administering a Maryland CNC Test and Puretone Audiometric test. Following these assessments, you will fill out a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) within the portal, creating the necessary medical documentation for the VA to evaluate the Veteran’s eligibility for benefits.

• Perform in-person disability evaluations for U.S. Veterans.
• Examine and interpret electronic medical records through a secure online portal.
• Thoroughly document examination results and complete the required VA forms.

Note: This position does not involve prescribing medical treatments or devices. The determination of disability is made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), not by the provider.

• Schedule: Part-Time, 3 days a week (Tuesday to Thursday, 8 or 10-hour shifts)
• Location: In-person role.
• Caseload: Average of 3-6 Veterans per day.
• Equipment Provided: Computer and all necessary documentation tools.

• A compassionate Audiologist who is passionate about assisting the Veteran community.
• Strong analytical abilities to evaluate medical records and assessment data.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in electronic documentation and web-based systems.
• A professional and empathetic approach when engaging with Veterans.

• Possession of an Au.D. from an ASHA Accredited School .
• Current licensure as an Audiologist.
• Comfortable utilizing technology for record review and documentation.
