The District has one early learning center, 15 elementary schools, five middle schools and a high school program divided between two 9–12th grade campuses. The District encompasses portions of Waukegan, Beach Park and Park City. Head Boys Soccer Coach As the head boys soccer coach, you will be directly responsible to the Athletic Director. Duties Supervise and give directions to assistant coaches. Plan and organize total practices. Work with the Athletic Director on schedule for the season. Responsibilities Build a positive relationship with booster club, community, teaching staff, coaching staff, student body, and administration. Supervise student athletes. Instill the value of physical fitness, social development, sportsmanship and academic achievement in student athletes. Provide adequate instructions for fundamentals. Demonstrate technique and mechanic of fundamentals. Evaluate student athlete techniques and mechanic for fundamentals. Correct flaws and defects in students. Plan strategies for competition. Make adjustments during competition. Cooperate with fellow coaches, officials and school personnel. Instill a value of knowledge and appreciation for the characteristics of the sport. Organize and run summer and off-season programs. Requirements Supportive of the Athletic Director, athletic staff and assistant coaching staff. Accepts duties assigned by the Athletic Director. Respects and enforces the letter and intent of rules and regulations and code with integrity. Dress appropriately for practice and games. Display enthusiasm in coaching. Develops athletes' leadership skills. Help players develop and strengthen value and morals. Exhibits knowledge of the sport. Maintain high ethical standard for coaches and students. Promote all sports in the athletic program. Cooperative in sharing facilities. Is prompt in meeting team for practice, competition, buses and meetings. Qualifications Must have valid Illinois Standard Teaching Certificate or have satisfactorily completed a coaching training program approved by the IHSA Board of Directors (ASEP). AED/CPR certified. Minimum of 3 years of high school varsity head coaching experience or minimum 5 years of high school assistant coaching experience required. Salary Per Teacher Contract Benefits None.
