Electrical Maintenance Service Representative Join to apply for the Electrical Maintenance Service Representative role at Miller Electric Company . The Electrical Maintenance Service Representative will report directly to the project leader. This is a client-facing role that requires the ability to build relationships both in and out of the office. The core responsibility of this position is to self-perform, manage, coordinate and execute electrical maintenance projects and work efforts. Overview This role involves maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems in accordance with safety and NFPA standards, working with vendors and diverse teams to deliver electrical maintenance projects. Responsibilities Maintenance of electrical systems, such as 3 phase, UPS, Automatic transfer switches, generators, static switches, power distribution systems Build vendors relationships Assist in creation of Change Management Forms and Methods of Procedure (MOPs) Troubleshooting electrical systems using an array of test equipment Work to NFPA standards Maintain communication with office personnel via email or cell Participate in training to grow and develop as a professional Reading of blueprints and technical diagrams Follow all company safety procedures such as LOTO Training of less experienced employees Knowledge of primary and secondary injection of circuit breakers Ability to read trip curves Knowledge of insulation resistance testing (megger) Knowledge of low resistance testing (Ductor) Testing of transformers (single and three phase) PLC experience Ability to read electrical drawings (one line, three line, control schematic, wiring diagram) Start up and commissioning experience VFDs, soft starts, motor control knowledge Programming of communication devices IR scanning experience Ability to create detailed job findings Understanding of different communication protocols Ability to read and implement coordination studies Willing to undertake further training Qualifications Education & Experience 3+ years as OEM or Facility maintenance person Face to face customer service experience Excellent oral and written communication skills Commitment to developing time management and organizational skills Good work ethic and willingness to learn new methods A valid US Driver's License with a satisfactory record Physical dexterity - able to lift 60 lbs Willingness to travel as necessary Excellent troubleshooting skills Preferred Experience in electrical preventive maintenance 5+ years of electrical preventive maintenance experience IR scanning certification Prior experience as an OEM technician Prior experience as an electrician or maintenance technician Prior experience managing and coordinating vendors Benefits Medical, Dental and Prescription Drug Insurance Retirement Life Insurance Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance Short & Long-Term Disability Insurance Paid Holidays Tuition Reimbursement Vehicle Employee Stock Ownership Program & Profit Sharing Flexible Spending Accounts Equal Opportunity Employer statement: Miller Electric Company is an Equal Opportunity employer - we believe that what is good for humans, will naturally be good for business.
