Job Description - Education Employment Consultant 3 (2600030F) Organization Education and Workforce Contact View email address on click.appcast.io Work Location Ohio Department of Education, 25 South Front Street, Columbus 43215-4104 Primary Location United States of America-OHIO-Franklin County-Columbus Compensation $34.28 - $50.65 Schedule Full-time, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Primary Job Skill Educational Support Technical Skills Computer Literacy, Regulatory Compliance, Auditing Professional Skills Attention to Detail, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Establishing Relationships Responsibilities Act as a lead worker by providing direction and training to Education Program Specialists in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and assist the Assistant Administrator of the CACFP. Assist with planning, developing, and implementing operating procedures for the CACFP. Develop policies and processes that comply with state and federal regulations to support program implementation. Create and refine internal and external training and marketing materials. Develop and refine menus, forms, handbooks, and procedures. Establish processes for reviewing sponsors based on federal requirements. Serve as the technical program contact for education program specialists. Conduct statewide program training for the CACFP. Develop internal and external policies to increase office efficiency. Assign work to education program specialists and perform operational activities as assigned (e.g., approve state car/travel requests, manage weekly reports, recommend performance reviews). Plan and execute the CACFP statewide conference. Conduct assigned onsite reviews of sponsor operations and compliance issues, including evaluation of menus, attendance records, meal counts, receipts, and other documents. Make recommendations based on findings. Approve or disapprove new and existing agreements and applications pursuant to federal regulations. Maintain and update CACFP program policy and guidance documents. Stay informed of Microsoft technology trends to ensure innovative and efficient solutions for updating program materials. Qualifications Minimum of 6 years experience in a related educational program or service area; or completion of an undergraduate core program with 4 years experience; or completion of a graduate core program with 3 years experience. Current valid driver’s license or ability to secure transportation when travel is required. For certain programs: Master’s degree and at least 3 years of education experience in a related content area. Must meet all officially listed education and experience requirements in the vacancy posting.
