Special Educator
The Compass School is seeking a.2 FTE special education posting with a varied schedule. Only RI certified Special Educators need apply. The Compass School is a public charter school comprised of 220 students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Job responsibilities include providing specially designed instruction for children with IEP's, completing educational evaluations/summaries as needed for new referrals and 3-year re-evaluations, writing and implementing data based IEP's, participating in a variety of meetings including referral, eligibility, MTSS, grade level, department, committee and IEP, collecting data on student progress, reporting progress each trimester and using that data to drive instruction, ensuring compliance with all regulations under IDEA, communicating regularly and collaboratively with colleagues and families, and other tasks as assigned by Director of Student Services and/or School Director.
