The Tampa office is actively seeking an attorney who can immediately contribute to a busy construction litigation team. Benefits & Compensation Competitive base salary starting around $215,000+, with flexibility based on experience Exceptional candidates may command compensation exceeding $250,000 1,850 billable hour requirement with bonus eligibility beginning at 1,950 hours, including a $10,000 bonus opportunity and additional production-based incentives Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Professional development and mentorship opportunities Clear path for long-term career growth and partnership consideration within a nationally respected law firm Opportunity to work alongside experienced construction attorneys on sophisticated matters National platform with a collaborative culture and cross-office support Requirements & Qualifications Active Florida Bar license in good standing 7+ years of litigation experience Substantive construction litigation experience Complex litigation experience required Ability to independently manage litigation matters from inception through resolution with minimal supervision Experience handling hearings, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and court appearances Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities Strong interpersonal skills and courtroom presence Strong academic credentials preferred Ability to work full-time in the Tampa office Background & Skills Experience representing owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, or construction-related businesses Experience handling construction defect claims, contract disputes, delay claims, payment disputes, and related construction litigation matters Experience working with construction experts and technical consultants Familiarity with construction contracts and risk allocation issues Experience working collaboratively within a litigation team while also managing matters independently Demonstrated business development aptitude and relationship-building skills Strong client-service orientation and business-minded approach to legal practice Day-to-Day Responsibilities Manage complex construction litigation matters from inception through resolution Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, briefs, and legal memoranda Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies Take and defend depositions Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other court proceedings Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and witnesses Collaborate with partners and attorneys across the firm's construction practice Analyze construction contracts, project documentation, and technical records Work closely with experts and consultants in support of litigation strategy Provide practical legal guidance and strategic counsel to construction industry clients Participate in client development and business generation efforts If you are an experienced construction litigation attorney seeking a sophisticated litigation practice, meaningful client interaction, and long-term career growth with a nationally respected law firm, we encourage you to apply. #J-18808-Ljbffr Nbutexas
