The APRN serves as a resource to educate patients, families, professional nurses, and staff; functions as a liaison between patient, family and UofL Physicians staff; and participates in clinical research. The APRN should demonstrate an advanced level of medical and nursing knowledge, clinical and technical competency, sound clinical judgment, professionalism as it relates to interpersonal and general communication skills, timely and compliant documentation, and takes responsibility for ongoing professional development and competency validation.# **Job Description:****UofL Health – UofL Physicians** is seeking an advanced practice provider (i.e., APRN or PA) to support the academic urologists with the **University of Louisville School of Medicine's Division of Urology** in both inpatient and outpatient settings.The appropriate candidate should demonstrate an advanced level of medical and/or nursing knowledge in caring for urologic patients, clinical and technical competency, sound clinical judgment, professionalism in interpersonal and general communication skills, and timely and compliant documentation. This individual will also be responsible for ongoing professional development and competency validation.**ABOUT THE POSITION*** Provide comprehensive adult urologic care, which may include in-office procedures, multi-disciplinary interaction, and resident and medical student interaction.* Provide patient/family urologic education, which may include catheter teaching, etc.* Provide inpatient rounding as needed.* Communicate with providers and office staff via the electronic health records system (Epic) regarding patient care needs and management.* Submit timely and accurate billing for services rendered.* Complete office notes promptly.* Serve as a resource for office staff and other members of the health care team.* Actively participate in conferences and research activities in areas related to clinical specialty.* Maintain compliance with all required training programs, commitment to professional growth and competency, and compliance with all hospital privileges, licensures, and certifications.* Other duties as assigned, which may include travel to outlying clinics/hospitals.**MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE*** Current certification and licensure in the state of Kentucky.* Professional experience in Urology is strongly recommended but not required.* Prior experience with Epic is preferred but not required.**ADDITIONAL INFORMATION*** Comprehensive provider and retirement benefits* Market-competitive salary with production bonus potential* Free tuition with the University of Louisville for employees and their families* Affiliation with an academic health system - UofL HealthInterested candidates, please submit a letter of interest and curriculum vitae to Stephanie Rogers, CPRP, physician recruiter at View email address on click.appcast.io.# **Additional Job Description:****MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE - APRN*** Master of Nursing degree from an accredited institution.* Current licensure in the state of Kentucky as an APRN.* National certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, Emergency Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner* Current DEA certificate without restriction* CPR and BLS current**MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE - PA*** Current certification and licensure in the state of Kentucky as a Physician Assistant.* Professional experience in a subspecialty is strongly preferred.* Current ACLS/BLS required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
