Plant Operator II

R10090245 Plant Operator II (Open) located in Cambridge, MD (Calgaz). The position involves operating pressure systems to safely fill industrial gas cylinders to required specifications. Location: Cambridge, MD Pay: $21.50/hr Responsibilities Fill cylinders to correct specification of contents and pressure using transfilling pressure equipment and PPM Work Order. Maintain high company health and safety standards, ensuring adherence to all rules and guidelines. Ensure company quality expectations are met and achieve customer demands, providing an excellent experience wherever possible. Contribute to efficiency while upholding health, safety, and quality standards, ensuring production goals and delivery targets are met. Use ovens to pre‑treat cylinders when appropriate. Handle gas cylinders manually in a safe manner. Conduct daily checks on equipment and communicate any issues or non‑conformances to management and operational departments. Follow Start‑Up and Shut‑Down procedures and all safety and work‑site policies. Qualifications HS Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (or equivalent). Attention to detail and the ability to accurately follow a process. Full range of motion; able to lift 50 pounds. Desirable chemical background. Ability to work independently and promote a team environment across departments and shifts. Flexibility with respect to shifts, overtime, and a customer‑focused approach. Understanding and compliance with the established Quality System and ability to report deficiencies. Understanding and compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines on company and/or customer property. Ability to stand for extended periods.
