Cost Accounting ManagerIntegrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to work with a top company in the Austin, TX area. This company is highly reputable with several awards for growth, equality, and safety.This is a full-time, long-term position with growth opportunities.1st shift position: Monday and Friday 8am-5pm onsite.This Cost Accounting Manager oversees the organization's cost accounting systems, inventory valuation, manufacturing accounting, and financial analysis related to production costs. This role ensures accurate cost reporting, supports budgeting and forecasting, improves profitability, and helps management make informed operational decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of cost accounting operations, including:Standard costingProduct costingInventory accountingVariance analysisManufacturing cost analysisPrepare and review:Monthly cost reportsInventory reconciliationsJournal entriesFinancial statements related to inventory and productionAnalyze manufacturing variances and recommend corrective actions.Maintain and improve cost accounting systems, processes, and internal controls.Partner with operations, supply chain, and production teams to:Monitor labor and material costsImprove efficiencyReduce wasteSupport pricing decisionsLead month-end and year-end closing activities related to inventory and cost accounting.Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.Ensure compliance with:GAAPCompany policiesAudit requirementsSupervise and mentor accounting staff.Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts.Assist with ERP system implementations or upgrades.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or cost accountingStrong knowledge of:Standard costingInventory accountingGAAPFinancial analysisExperience with ERP systems such as:SAP ERPOracle NetSuiteMicrosoft Dynamics 365Advanced proficiency in:Microsoft ExcelFinancial reporting toolsStrong analytical, organizational, and leadership skillsAbout Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS): ITS is an international recruiting and staffing firm specializing in Engineering, Technical and Professional positions.
