Nursing Quality Fellow BWH

Job Summary Full Time 40 hours BWH Boston Main Campus. Chickle Family Foundation Nursing Fellow in Patient Safety and Quality Improvement contributes to advancement of patient care and quality outcomes at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital. Through project-based learning guided by nurse leaders, the Fellow focuses on effective ways to bridge the worlds of nursing, quality improvement and patient safety. This 12‑month fellowship prepares registered nurses to be future leaders of patient safety and quality improvement. Fellowship projected duration is one year. The position's work locations include BWH main campus in Longwood Medical Area, BWFH/Faulkner, and other satellite BWH locations in and outside of Boston. Essential Functions Data Entry, Analysis and Interpretation. Lead data collection and reporting of key nurse sensitive indicators and other quality measures. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify opportunities for improvement through analysis of quality outcome data. Support development and evaluation of nursing departmental and organizational evidence‑based improvement initiatives utilizing the high reliability framework. Promote evidence‑based practice integration and alignment with nursing departmental policies and protocols. Participate in projects aimed at improving the safety and quality of patient care. Support teams in the pursuit of continual regulatory readiness/compliance. Collaborate with healthcare teams to assess and monitor the quality of patient care. Conduct regular audits and reviews of clinical processes to ensure compliance with established standards. Stay informed about relevant healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and industry best practices. Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as those from Joint Commission, CMS, and other accrediting bodies. Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives. Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement in patient care and operational processes. Review and assess clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory requirements. Provide feedback and education to healthcare providers on documentation best practices. Education Bachelor's Degree Nursing required Master's Degree Nursing preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Current Registered Nurse (RN) in Massachusetts required. Experience 2-3 years clinical nursing experience required. Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality improvement methodologies. Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
