Location: Albuquerque, NM – This is a full-time, on-site opportunity where you'll collaborate closely with an accomplished litigation team while enjoying everything Albuquerque has to offer.

Note: Applicants must be licensed to practice law in New Mexico and have at least 2 years of civil litigation experience. Candidates relocating to Albuquerque will be considered, and relocation assistance is available for highly qualified attorneys.

Job Description

• Represent clients in sophisticated civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop effective case strategies.
• Manage discovery, including written discovery, document review, and depositions.
• Prepare witnesses and clients for depositions, hearings, mediation, and trial.
• Appear in court for hearings, motions, and other proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex litigation strategy while managing your own caseload.
• Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and practical legal guidance.
• Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Continue developing courtroom advocacy and trial skills under experienced mentorship.

Qualifications

• Active New Mexico Bar license required.
• 2+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience drafting motions and litigation pleadings.
• Deposition and courtroom experience is highly valued.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Self-motivated with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Experience with complex commercial, business, personal injury, or wrongful death litigation is a plus.
