Material Handler

Material HandlerAg Processing Inc is currently hiring for a Material Handler at our Hastings soy processing facility. This person will be responsible for unloading tank cars, trucks and helping with the shipment of products. The material handlers will also occasionally perform quality control testing on materials and operate drive switches, locomotive/track mobile engines, forklifts, and other types of moving equipment.Responsibilities:Official loading of product to railcars and trucksProvide official quality control testingProvide professional customer serviceLearn start-up and shutdown procedures for equipmentRecommend improvements for efficiencies, quality and/or method of operationParticipate on committees for safety, projects, sanitation, and quality improvementAssure proper communication with coworkers, superiors and other departmentsPerform preventative maintenanceMaintain plant safety, cleanliness and work rulesPerform other duties as assignedRequirements:Must be willing to work weekendsSelf-motivated and strives for high performanceTakes initiative and works efficientlyAble to understand and follow rules and policiesWilling to learn and is a team playerExcellent verbal and written communication skillsBasic reading and math skillsStrong attention to detailAble to operate a forklift, pallet jack and material handling equipmentMust be able to carry 50 pounds, lift 65 pounds and push/pull 120 poundsOrganization Summary:Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is a cooperative that processes, sells and transports soybeans, grains, and related products.
