Job Posting TitleMaintenance TechnicianJob Description SummaryThis position is accountable for: Providing support to the plant by means of repair, replacement, and/or renewal of equipment or components. Any activity necessary within the scope of skills within the principal accountabilities for this position and those of General Maintenance position. Completing assigned documentation, maintain cleanliness of maintenance shop and other work areas.Job Description:Key Responsibilities:Follow all health, safety and environmental practices and preventative measures.Follow rules and procedures.Electrical/RoboticsResolve circuit level problems, install additional circuits and provide sketches or drawings of proposed changes.Monitor PLC programs for troubleshooting machinery.Maintain power distribution system (480 VAC and under) including troubleshooting, new installation, changing fuses, replacing bus duct and bus plugsTroubleshoot robotics and teach points as requiredMIllrightMove, level, and verify readiness to runHydraulicsResolve system problems, recommend and install additional components as neededMachine RebuildingAssume responsibilities for assigned areas of a project and execute trade skills as required.Preventative MaintenancePreforms PM’s as assigned, complete and return all documentationWork with contractors to complete PM’sTrouble ShootingFollow and document the basic guidelines for failure analysisCall, communicate with, follow recommendations of, and document activity from a service representativeComponent failure analysis, i.e. megger, wear pattern, contamination’s, etc.Document all results on the work orderReports on Maintenance Technician WorkProvide accurate reports of work performed on work order in appropriate maintenance softwareRegularly report to cover 100% of dayDrive forklift in a safe mannerComplete Electronic Operator Lift Truck Functional Check on every shift for every forklift driven that shift unless already completed on shift.Change propane tanks as required for fork trucks.Charge fork truck batteries as required on electric fork truck.Actively participate in Continuous Improvement and perform them as scheduled.Participate in training as required.Clean during and end of shift.Maintain work area and equipment in a neat and orderly fashion.Complete records and forms as required and instructional documents.Perform duties at all times in a safe and efficient manner and report problems, irregularities and suggested corrective action immediately to supervisor.All other associated maintenance duties as assigned in accordance to the CBA.Soft Skills and Other Competencies:Ability to follow directions.Knowledge of LEAN tools.Knowledge of basic problem-solving tools such as Root Cause and 5-why.Skills in operating office equipment, such as personal computer, calculator, and copier.Ability to communicate with employees and business contacts in a group or individual setting.Ability to prioritize duties and good time-management skills.Ability to work directly with all levels of the organization in a fast-paced environmentDetail oriented.Ability to read and write the English language.Safety and 5-S Requirements:Accidents involving injuries, property damage, and spills must be reported immediately. Near misses (close calls) are also important for loss control and must be reported as well. Lean Enterprise 5-S standards must be maintained in all assigned areas.Environmental Conditions:This position will experience a wide range of conditions. From office conditions to actual shop floor exposure. There is no condition that exists that this position will not be exposed toPersonal Protection Equipment:Must be worn, when required in specific areas.
