What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a healthcare location.
• Perform armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner.
• Monitor access points, identify unusual activity, and assist with de-escalating disruptive behavior in accordance with site protocols.
• Document patrol activity and incidents through accurate reports and promptly communicate concerns to appropriate healthcare personnel and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a valid Virginia DCJS license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
