Resolution Think LLC, through it's joint venture partnership, Cognito Systems, LLC, is seeking Registered Nurse (RN) candidates, skilled in Internal Medicine for positions at Ft Hood medical center. These roles will support high-quality patient care across multispecialty clinical settings by assessing patients,
administering medications and treatments, coordinating referrals, assisting with procedures, and
documenting care accurately in the electronic health record.

The ideal candidate will bring recent hands-on nursing experience, sound clinical judgment, strong
communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, providers, and
multidisciplinary teams. Candidates should be comfortable working flexible shifts based on mission
needs, including possible days, evenings, nights, weekends, training holidays, and federal holidays.
This opportunity is well suited for a dependable RN who values patient-centered care, professionalism,
continuity of care, and service in a mission-focused military treatment facility.

Location:  Carl R Darnall Army Medical Center; Fort Hood, TX 
Schedule:  Shift will occur between 5:30a-10:30p; Sunday - Saturday. Shifts typically scheduled for 12hr. but can be up to 16hr. 
No On-Call/Call Back
May be subject to float to other clinical areas according to skills and abilities.

Core Duties

  • Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals.
  • Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the MTF.
  • Perform physical exam and health histories.
  • Provide health promotions, counseling, and education.
  • Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions.
  • Direct and supervise care provided by other healthcare professionals.
  • Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergency situations.
  • Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate.
  • Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes.
  • Performs independent, comprehensive telephone, clinical triaging, and facilitate care throughout multidisciplinary locations.
  • Acts as relief nurse, triages, and screens walk-in patients to assess the severity of the patient’s condition and need for provider intervention.
  • Screens patient charts to assess medical history to determine health care needs.
  • Executes and/or ensures the completion of orders from health care providers.
  • Recognizes and reports abnormal test results, changes in symptoms, and the need for follow-up.
  • Records required data in patient charts.
  • Assists health care providers with examinations and procedures.
  • Responsible for educating patients for high risk, painful, or stressful procedures with education and support.
  • Monitors or ensure the monitoring of patients pre, during, and post procedures per CRDAMC MTF guidelines.
  • Demonstrates and instructs patients on the proper administration self-medicated prescriptions.
  • Educate patients and ensure distributed instructions are understood for maintenance of health and self-care. Provides clinic one-on-one patient orientation and educational activities related to acute and/or chronic illnesses, self-care, wellness and/or preventive health measures, normal development, and physiology.
  • Assists patients’ compliance with medical treatment plans telephonically or through in-person clinic visits.
  • Identify self as a contract worker, coordinate patient referrals to a variety of health care services to include, but not limited to, community health nurse, health promotion center, social work service, dietician, clinical nurse specialist, chaplain, and other ancillary services as directed by attending physician.
Minimum Qualifications: 
  • US Citizenship required
  • Education:  Associates Degree of Nursing or higher from an ACEN or CCNE accredited educational program. 
  • Licensure:  Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
  • Experience:  Possess one (1) year of clinical or inpatient experience, post- education/graduation and post-licensure within the last two (2) years. 
  • Certifications:  ACLS, BLS
Physical Demands/Additional Information: 
  • Must complete TB Test
  • Subject to a background/security investigation
  • Willingness to comply with DHA vaccination requirements.
  • Willingness to complete a physical examination
  • Pre-employment drug screening
  • Required to wear PPE during performance of services.
  • Walking, long periods of standing, stretching, crouching, bending, stooping, lifting to 50lbs, lifting over 50lbs with assistance.
