You'll play a critical role in maintaining accounting excellence while helping modernize processes, implement automation solutions, and drive operational efficiency across a global organization.We are seeking a candidate who combines strong technical accounting expertise with a continuous improvement mindset—someone who enjoys solving complex business challenges, influencing stakeholders, and leveraging technology to reimagine how accounting work gets done.This role provides exposure to finance leadership, SEC reporting, financial systems, and strategic transformation initiatives in one of the world's most recognized payment technology companies.What You'll DoDrive Accounting ExcellencePrepare and review complex journal entries and supporting analyses for the monthly and quarterly close process.Own key balance sheet and income statement accounts, performing detailed variance analysis and ensuring financial accuracy.Research, analyze, and document accounting conclusions in accordance with U.S. GAAP and Visa accounting policies.Support quarterly and annual reporting requirements, including SEC filing processes and external audit requests.Maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure SOX compliance through effective process execution and documentation.Lead Transformation and Process ImprovementIdentify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and eliminate manual activities through automation and technology solutions.Partner with cross-functional teams to redesign financial workflows and implement scalable, best-in-class accounting practices.Leverage tools such as Power BI, AI-enabled technologies, and automation platforms to improve efficiency, reporting, and data quality.Help shape the future state of accounting operations by participating in strategic finance transformation initiatives.Partner Across the BusinessCollaborate with FP&A, SEC Reporting, Global Finance Shared Services, Tax, Internal Audit, and other stakeholders to support accurate financial reporting.Serve as a trusted advisor by providing accounting guidance and business insights to cross-functional partners.Support special projects, system implementations, and process enhancement initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness.What Makes You SuccessfulStrong technical accounting foundation with the ability to apply U.S. GAAP to complex business transactions.Demonstrated ability to solve problems and drive process improvements.Passion for automation, innovation, and leveraging emerging technologies, including AI, to improve accounting processes.Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution in a fast-paced environment.Strong business partnership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.This role is a Hybrid role to be based in our Foster City, CA office location. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
