Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging assessments
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety during all procedures, clearly explaining each step to promote understanding
• Engage with radiologists and referring physicians to deliver exemplary quality diagnostic images
• Effectively operate and maintain imaging equipment, addressing any issues promptly
• Keep thorough and accurate documentation of procedures and maintain patient records in the electronic medical system
• Stay abreast of new developments in ultrasound imaging techniques and standards of care

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred

Skills Needed

• High level of technical competency in sonographic imaging methods and patient positioning protocols
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
