Key Qualifications:

• Current and valid Special Education licensure for K-6 or PK-3
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in a resource or specialized classroom setting
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
• Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about helping every student achieve their best

Major Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small group instruction aligned with students' IEPs in an elementary resource classroom
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to ensure consistent and appropriate accommodations and modifications
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs
• Regularly communicate with families and caregivers about student progress and classroom events
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student assessment and compliance requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team decision-making processes
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture

This position requires a commitment of 35 hours per week for the entire school year, offering stability and the chance to build long-term relationships with students and colleagues.
