Manufacturing Manager - Printing

About the Opportunity We’re partnering with a manufacturing facility in Minnesota seeking a Printing Manager. This role will lead the pressroom and sheeting department in a plant with approximately 150 employees and a highly tenured workforce. It is a strong opportunity for a manufacturing leader who communicates well, takes ownership, and wants to help define the direction of a key department. Printing experience is a plus, but strong department leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive improvement are the bigger priorities. What You’ll Do Lead the pressroom and sheeting department, helping the team stay aligned, productive, and focused on shared goals. Key areas of focus include: Lead day-to-day department performance Communicate clearly with a tenured workforce Drive improvement across the pressroom and sheeting area Take ownership of projects and follow through independently Help define goals, structure, and direction for the department Support a collaborative environment where the team works toward the same outcome Lead with a clear plan and long-term vision Who You Are You are a self-starter who can step into a department, take control, and move work forward. You communicate well with hourly teams and understand how to build trust in a manufacturing environment. You do not need to be handed every step, you can assess what needs to happen, create a plan, and lead the team through it. You would do well here if you are steady, proactive, and excited by the chance to grow with a strong plant. Preferred Experience & Attributes Manufacturing or department leadership experience Printing experience is a plus, but not required Experience with sheet-fed offset lithographic printing is a plus Experience with KBA presses is a plus Union environment experience is a plus Strong communication skills Ability to drive improvement and lead projects independently Strategic thinker with the ability to plan and set direction Comfortable leading a tenured workforce Why This Role Matters This role is important because the pressroom and sheeting department need a leader who can bring communication, direction, and improvement focus to the team.
