About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Budget and Financial Planning to serve as a senior strategic advisor and lead the establishment of a modern approach to enterprise budgeting, financial forecasting, and multi-year analytical modeling. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving multi-year financial forecasts, sensitivity modeling, and peer benchmarking to support executive and board decision-making. This role also involves integrating capital strategy, delivering high-impact financial storytelling, and leading the financial data architecture strategy to enhance campus-wide financial agility. The AVP will be a visionary systems thinker, capable of transforming complex financial data into strategic narratives that influence the institution's long-term direction. Applicants for the AVP position at the company should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 8 years of experience, including 7 years in a leadership role related to budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, or financial analysis. Advanced skills in modeling, analytics, data visualization, and storytelling are essential, as is proficiency in ERP systems, financial planning software, and business intelligence tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of capital planning and financing, and a proven track record in leading teams through change and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. While higher education experience is preferred, it is not a requirement for this role.
