Project Manager - Heavy Civil

Project Manager – Heavy Civil Construction - St. Louis, MO Metric Geo is partnering with a well-established heavy civil contractor in the St. Louis market to identify an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team. This is an opportunity for a Project Manager to take ownership of major civil construction projects, drive project performance and profitability, and play a key role in the continued growth of the operation. Key Responsibilities Manage heavy civil projects from preconstruction through completion Oversee project budgets, schedules, costs, and overall financial performance Lead project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and field operations Maintain strong relationships with owners, municipalities, DOTs, engineers, and subcontractors Review plans, specifications, contracts, and change orders Identify opportunities to improve project margins and operational efficiency Support estimating, bidding, and project development activities Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards Help develop and maintain long-term client and industry relationships Ideal Background 5+ years of experience managing heavy civil construction projects Background in earthwork, grading, excavation, underground utilities, paving, or site development Experience working on DOT, municipal, commercial, or other public-sector projects Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, contracts, and change management Proven ability to lead project teams and manage multiple stakeholders Strong communication and relationship-building skills Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred Why Consider It?
