Nuclear Med Tech

6-week assignment available for a Nuclear Med Tech. The shift is Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with additional call requirements in the evenings and on weekends. The unit has a total of 191 beds, including NICU. The Nuclear Medicine department has 1 full-time and 2 PRN staff members. Assistive staff includes Radiology nurses and a Tech Aide. Typical equipment includes GE NM 850 Dual Head SPECT/CT Scanner, GE NM 830 Dual Head Gamma Camera, and GE Case 8000 Stress Testing system. EMR utilized is Meditech. On-call hours are weekdays from 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM, and weekends from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM. Ideal candidates will have experience with GE scanners, Xeleris post-processing, GE Centricity PACS, and Meditech Health Information System. Typical procedures include General, Cardiac, and Therapeutic Nuclear Medicine. Additional procedures performed are Sentinel Node Injections, DATScan, HIDA, Gastric Emptying, VQ, Thyroid Uptake, Bone Scan Indium 111, Thyroid Ablations, and Xofigo.
