Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT in Williamsburg, VA. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients in a skilled nursing facility regain or improve daily skills following injury, illness, or disability. This position involves evaluating functional abilities, developing individualized treatment plans, providing hands-on therapy per physician orders and facility protocols, documenting progress, collaborating with interdisciplinary team members, and educating patients and caregivers to support ongoing safety and function. Minimum Requirements Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree). Active Occupational Therapist license in Virginia required to start the assignment. BLS certification from AHA or ARC required. Ability to evaluate patients’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans in a skilled nursing/long-term care environment. Demonstrated ability to document patient progress and maintain accurate treatment records per facility protocols and regulatory requirements. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with PT, SLP, nursing staff, and families. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. New graduates welcome. (Preferred: experience in skilled nursing or long-term care.) Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in skilled nursing facility or long-term care settings. Experience with common skilled nursing documentation systems and compliance practices. Assignment Details Shift: 8-hour day.
