Part-Time Farm Field Trip Educator – Outdoor Learning

The Art Barn at Morning Glory Farm is looking for friendly, energetic people to help lead elementary school field trips on our educational farm.

For the last 25 years, over 25,000 children visit the farm each year for hands-on learning experiences with animals, nature, and art.

We’re always looking for energetic, enthusiastic people to join our hardworking, loyal team. Our part-time opportunities will keep you on your feet, enjoying the outdoors, and sharing plenty of smiles!

Public speaking is a big part of our field trip team’s role. We’re looking for friendly, confident communicators who enjoy leading groups, explaining activities, and making learning fun—with a sense of humor!

It’s a wonderful fit for active retirees, moms, dads, and anyone with these interests who wants to earn a little extra “fun money” while helping Farmer Sue bring art, animals, and agriculture to life!

What You’ll Be Doing

School groups rotate through five educational stations during their visit:

• Chicken Station
• Barnyard Animals
• Honeybee Station
• Composting / Soil
• Art Station

Groups arrive in small pods of one to two classes and rotate through stations every 15 minutes.

As a Farm Field Trip Educator , you will:

• Welcome and guide visiting school groups
• Share fun educational facts about animals and farm life
• Lead short scripted learning stations
• Answer curious questions from kids
• Help create a smooth and memorable experience for teachers and students

All station materials and talking points are provided, and we train you in everything you need to know.

Our Animals are the best.

You’ll work around friendly farm animals including:

horses, donkeys, cows, goats, sheep, chickens, rabbits, and pigs.

Being comfortable around animals is helpful, and we will train you in safe animal handling.

What You Should Know

• All positions are outdoors

• some days are hot, some are cool
• You’ll be active and on your feet
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must enjoy working with young children

And yes...

Occasionally you may scoop pony poop, wipe down a porta-potty, or drive a really cool old tractor.
